Thank you for applying to adopt a rescue cat!

Thank you for your application to adopt a cat with Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation! One of our volunteer adoptions processors will be in touch via email within 72-96 hours. If you do not hear from us within that time frame, please check your junk mail folder, if no one has emailed you, send an email to adoptacat@pawsitivematch.org. Please familiarize yourself with our adoption process, policy and FAQs.

IMPORTANT: If you rent your home or own a condo in a building governed by a condo board, we require landlord/condo board approval prior to proceeding with your application. You can download our landlord/condo board approval through through this link. Once completed, please send to adopt@pawsitivematch.org and reference your full name in the subject line. Your name will not be added to a cat until this approval is received.

We have included the link to our Cats for Adoption web-page in the event you are interested in any of our other cats – https://pawsitivematch.org/adoptablecats/

PLEASE NOTE: When we have multiple applications for the same cat, priority is given to the first family thought to be the best fit. We do not do on-the-spot or same day adoptions. This may require overnight accommodations or return trips if you are from out of town. We highly encourage applicants to look locally first before applying for an out of town dog or cat.

The adoption fee ranges from $150 – $200 and is non-refundable. The fee includes:

  • spay/neuter
  • health exam
  • distemper complex vaccine and boosters up to date of adoption (some may be required after this date at the adopter’s expense, including bordetella vaccinations or rabies vaccinations)
  • deworming
  • treatment for fleas and ticks
  • microchip
  • testing for disease (and treatment if necessary)
  • 6 weeks complimentary pet insurance
  • transport to Calgary
