About Biggy

Hi there, I’m Biggy — a small dog with a big personality, a sharp mind, and an even bigger heart (once you earn it).

I’m a smart little guy who’s still learning that the world is a safe and gentle place. I’ve been through a lot, so trust doesn’t come instantly for me — but when it does, you’ll see my sweet, affectionate side shine through. In the mornings, I love giving hugs and snuggles, and by evening, I like to relax nearby and just be close to my people. I’m not clingy, but I do like knowing you’re there.

I’m very food-motivated (which makes training fun!) and I learn routines quickly. I’m housetrained, sleep well in my crate, and enjoy my walks — they’re my favourite part of the day. I’m an energetic pup who loves to get outside and explore, but I’m also happy to chill at home after a good walk.

I’ll be honest — I can be a bit unpredictable at times. I’m still learning how to feel comfortable with touch and affection. Sometimes I’ll be enjoying gentle pets and suddenly feel overwhelmed, which can make me react by growling or snapping. It’s not about being mean — I just get scared or overstimulated. My foster family has learned that I do best with calm energy, slow movements, and space when I need it.

Because of that, I’d do best in a calm, experienced home without small children or other pets. I need humans who understand nervous or reactive dogs — people who will listen to what I’m trying to say, move slowly, and respect my boundaries while helping me keep learning that touch can be safe and enjoyable.

I’ve already made a lot of progress with patience, treats, and predictable routines. I’m very smart and want to keep learning — I just need someone who’s willing to guide me gently and give me time to trust.

Once I let you in, you’ll see that I’m not just a “project dog” — I’m a loving, loyal little companion who just wants to feel safe, understood, and loved for who I am. With the right home, I’ll continue to grow into the wonderful boy I’m meant to be.
