Hi, I’m Bilbo — but you can call me Bill!

I may not be setting off on a quest like my namesake, but I am on a journey to find my forever home — one filled with love, calm, and maybe a few cozy naps in the sunshine.

I’m an easygoing, affectionate guy who gets along with just about everyone I meet. I adore people and enjoy gentle affection, but I’m not pushy — I’ll happily come to you when I’m ready for cuddles. My manners are top-notch, and I’ve been told I’m a true gentleman around the house.

I’m great with other dogs and have been the perfect roommate for my foster’s cat. I’m respectful, curious, and kind — though I’ll admit, I do have a soft spot for chasing the occasional squirrel or hare on our walks (a dog’s gotta have hobbies!).

I’m housetrained, walk nicely on leash, and am learning fun tricks like “shake a paw.” I’m also learning not to cross in front of my person on walks — it’s a work in progress, but I’m a quick learner! I do enjoy a good chew session now and then (slippers are my current favourite), but I’m easily redirected to something more appropriate.

I’m not overly anxious, I travel fine, and I settle beautifully at home. I sleep quietly in my bed at night and adjust well to whatever rhythm my people keep. My foster says I’m happy to match your energy — whether that means relaxing on the couch or joining you for a stroll.

My ideal home? I’d love a yard to explore or a quiet condo to lounge in — I’m not picky, as long as I’m included in daily life. I’d do well with a family, a couple, or someone looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s as content being your shadow as he is snoozing by your side.

In short, I’m the kind of dog who brings calm energy to your home and love to your heart. I don’t need much — just a soft bed, kind words, and a person (or people) to call my own.
