About Conrad

Hi, I’m Conrad — lover of lap time, yard lounging, and being told I’m a very good boy (please say it again, I’ll never get tired of hearing it).

Let me tell you a bit about me: I’m a gentle, affectionate soul who thrives on companionship. My ideal day includes a few walks, lots of praise, yard time, and then curling up next to you for the rest of the evening. I’ve got a big heart, a soft little body, and an even softer spot for anyone who’s kind and patient with me.

I’ve been through a few transitions lately, but I’m learning fast and adjusting well. I’m house-trained, walk well on a leash (especially when there are good smells to sniff!), and am happy riding in the car for a little adventure. I don’t chew or destroy anything — you can trust me with the run of the house. I do best when I’m not crated during the day — being alone in a crate stresses me out — but if you give me a cozy corner, I’ll happily nap while you’re out.

I’m currently living with dogs of all sizes and two cats — though I must admit, I find the cats very interesting (okay, a little too interesting), so a dog friend might be a better match in my forever home. I’m still working on some things like not getting too excited on walks or guarding my favourite cuddle spot on the couch, but with gentle redirection and some “good boys,” I listen and learn quickly.

What am I looking for in a forever home?

Someone who’s home a lot, maybe retired or working from home.

A yard or a nice patio where we can relax together.

Daily walks where I can sniff everything and strut my stuff.

A calm, patient household, maybe with a friendly dog sibling to keep me company.

Bonus points if you enjoy snuggling on the couch — it’s my specialty.

I’m not super treat-motivated, but give me affection and praise and I will give you my whole heart. I’ve been called “a lover, not a fighter,” and I think that sums me up pretty perfectly.

So, if you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive, goofy little dude to share your life, your home, and most importantly, your lap — I think we might be meant for each other.
