About Josie (Bowie)

Hi! I’m Josie — but my foster family calls me Bowie (yes, like the rockstar — I’ve got range). I’m a fun-sized, treat-motivated, cuddle-when-I-feel-like-it kind of gal with a sweet heart, a curious mind, and legs built for light adventure and chasing dreams… or gophers. Whichever comes first.

I’m still a young pup, which means I’m working on all the good stuff — leash manners, not stealing flip-flops (they smell so interesting though). But I’m smart. Like, “already learned sit, wait, and come” smart. Throw in a treat, and I’ll probably learn to do your taxes.

I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and happy to snooze the night away in your bed, thank you very much. I get a little whiny when I can’t see my people, but I settle fast — especially if I’m in a comfy spot that smells like you.

Now, let’s talk about my vibe. I’m mellow at heart but still playful — give me a walk, a toy, and a doggy friend to hang out with, and I’m golden. I love other dogs, especially ones that are gentle or playful. I’ll win them over eventually with my submissive charm and wiggly tail.

New things can spook me for a second, but if you or a confident dog shows me it’s safe, I’ll investigate like a little explorer.

My ideal home? Somewhere with another dog would be amazing, especially if they like playing or going on light adventures. I’d thrive with a family who understands that I’m still growing into my confidence and who’ll let me come to them for affection on my terms (I promise I will — I just like to make it special). A yard to romp in or weekend hikes would be a dream, but I could also be your apartment pup with enough fun and love.

I don’t need to be the loudest or the bravest — I just want to be yours.
