About Milo
Hi, I’m Milo — a gentle, sensitive soul who’s still learning how to trust the world again. I may not be the kind of dog who runs into your arms on day one, but I promise you, if you give me time, patience, and kindness, you’ll get to see the real me — and I’m totally worth the wait.
Right now, I’m a bit shy around new people. Sudden movements, loud noises (like those scary motorcycles and buses), and too many changes can make me feel unsure. I’ve only just started to get comfortable with my foster parents, and I already love my daily walks, wag my tail when I see them, and even sleep beside them at night. I just need to go slow — no pressure, just love.
I’m not food motivated (weird, I know), but hand me a toy — especially a squeaky chicken — and I light up. I LOVE toys! I also get along great with other small dogs and would really love a canine friend in my forever home to help show me the ropes.
I’m still working on my confidence with humans, so things like petting, cuddling, or being picked up aren’t really my vibe just yet. But every day I’m learning. If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in tiny victories — like the first tail wag, the first game of fetch, the first time I don’t run away when you walk into the room — then you might be my person.
I’m fully housetrained and doing well on leash. I’m medium energy, so two good walks and some playtime is perfect for me. I’d do best in a calm, child-free home with a yard to explore, another friendly dog to hang out with, and kind people who will cheer me on as I grow more confident each day.
My past may have been rough, but my future? It could be beautiful — with you.
With hope,
Milo
