About Vladdy JR

Hi there! My name is Vladdy JR — but my foster mom calls me the “Snack-Sized Shepherd,” because I look like a German Shepherd someone shrunk in the wash. Don’t worry, it only made me cuter.

If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, quietly affectionate boy who loves people a lot, then… hi. It’s me. I’m your guy.

I greet everyone with a tail wag and a lean-in for pets — kids, adults, strangers, people on the street — if you’ve got hands, I’ve got love to receive. I’m calm, polite, and not much of a jumper unless someone greets me with super high-energy (then I might spring up a little to match the vibe).

With other dogs, I’m friendly and relaxed. I’ve met big ones, little ones, fence friends, and walking buddies — all tail wags from me. I don’t have any dog reactivity, and I’ve never shown signs of aggression. I do, however, deeply believe it is my destiny to chase squirrels and rabbits. They’re tiny, fast, and taunting me… what am I supposed to do??

I’m house-trained, walk nicely on leash, and I know sit, take nicely, and my name. I’m learning more every day. I don’t chew things I shouldn’t and I never have accidents in the house — even when I’m left alone. I’m a calm, quiet boy inside the home. Honestly? I’m kind of a chill guy overall.

BUT… (don’t worry, it’s not that bad)
Crates and I? Yeah… we are not friends. I have, uh, escaped… twice. I’m like Houdini, but furrier. My foster mom realized I’m safer outside the crate, and I’ve been a perfect gentleman since. I cried, paced, and scratched at the door a bit the first few days, but now I relax, nap, and hang out in my chair. I’m learning quickly that being alone is okay — I just need time and routine.

I’m not a big barker, I’m not destructive, and I don’t get into garbage or counters. I’m just a bit anxious at first and need reassurance that you’re coming back. A few more weeks and I’ll be a pro.

I’d love a yard because I love being outdoors, but it’s not a must if you give me nice walks and some sunbathing time. What matters most to me is having someone who’s home often — a person, a family, a best friend — someone who likes companionship as much as I do. I’d be so happy to be your shadow.

I’m gentle, affectionate, people-loving, dog-friendly, calm inside the home, and easy to walk (unless… you know… squirrel). I’m a cuddler, a leaner, a snoozer, and a medium-energy buddy who’s just discovering what it feels like to be safe and loved.
