Each year Pawsitive Match produces a beautiful calendar filled with heartwarming images of our followers’ pets. Our annual contest is a fun way for us to select which of our furry (or in some cases, not so furry) friends to include in the calendar.
Phase 1 – Enter your Pet (June 1 – July 14)
So you think you have the most adorable, cutest pet ever! Enter your pet and let the voters decide.
To enter, fill out the entry form with your donation of $10. With your entry please provide a high-quality, landscape oriented photo of your pet along with a short bio. Please only submit one photo per animal.
Photos depicting aversive training methods or tools are not permitted, including but not limited to: prong, choke, or shock collars.
The entry fee is per animal (i.e. 2 dogs in one photo is $20, or 2 photos with 1 dog each is also $20)
Phase 2 – Voting (July 15 – August 31)
Vote with your wallet as you select which of the entries will make it into our 2025 calendar. The top 13 pets, with the highest dollar amounts raised, will be featured in our calendar!
During the Voting phase donate any amount to your favourite entrant. Be sure to recruit your family, friends, and anyone they know to support to their favourite animal!
All donations, including the entry fee, goes directly to PMRF and the animals in our care. Note that votes are for the animal and not the photo, and the final photos may differ from the ones on this page.
Please email calendar@pawsitivematch.org if you have questions!
Our goal for the calendar this year is to cover a portion of the cost of our current medical bills which is $15,000.
Tax receipts will be provided for all donations. Please note that we require your mailing address for the CRA in order to provide charitable tax receipts, please provide this information during checkout.
In addition to being in the 2024 calendar, the top winner will win a mini professional photoshoot from Heidi Grace Pet Portraiture, which includes a mounted print of your favourite image.

Rosie is a little cat with a big personality. Even though she's 9 years old, she is still a kitten. Her favorite thing to do is run down the hall and jump around her cat tree. Sophie is the sweetest of cats. Her purr enters the room a minute before she does. She's a little cross eyed, a little bull legged, and a bit of tumba, but she is 100% cuddle bug.
Becky is a 5-year-old Formosan Mountain Dog originally from Taiwan. We adopted her from a rescue shelter in California in 2019. Since then, she has been adapting wonderfully to the Canadian lifestyle and weather!
Sushi is 3 years old and her big brother Nacho is 4 years. We had Nacho for about a year before getting him a pal. Since then they've been the best of friends.
Kai is a sweet, sociable, sensitive, salty - sassy pup! He’s 15 months old and came into our family after losing three pets last year due to age & illness. We absolutely fell in love with the boxer breed after rescuing our senior brindle Colty-Vaughn.
Charlie loves to be with his family (even the cats), roll around in the grass and run, run, run as fast as he can. When he finally tires, he likes to climb up on your lap for a good old squdgie.
I adopted Wicker in December 2008. He was found lying by the road, and then taken to the vet. From being a shy cat terrified of everything he has grown into a big personality. Please vote for this handsome boy!
We adopted him in October 2023 and it´s like he has been with us since he was a baby because he is crazy loyal, follows us and loves us like no other. Really smart and fluffy.
This little lady is just happy to be here :) Some of her favourite activities include napping on the couch, tossing a ball up for herself, invading her humans personal space and receiving a good ol’ rub down (especially when there are butt scratches involved). Lego shows her sweetest smile and puppy dog eyes to the humans she loves most - anyone and everyone that she encounters on a walk. But the real way to know she’s happy is to listen for the Lego purr.
Winnie found her way to me (by way of Pawsitive Match) a year ago and is the best girl! The world is sometimes still a little scary for Winnie but her confidence grows everyday.
Hi I'm Poe! I was adopted as a puppy from Pawsitive match in 2019. I'm a happy-go-lucky guy, who loves bones and going to the dog park!
Georgie is a 7 year old Terrier, Chihuahua, Poodle mix rescued from the Bahamas. He loves to play hide and seek with his toys, show you how many 360's in a row he can do, and snuggling with Mom.
We visited a shelter 8 years ago hoping to adopt a cat. When I picked up Duke for the first time, he wrapped his fluffy little paws around my neck and gave me the warmest kitty hug. In that moment, I knew that he was my cat.
Mr. Eccles is a Pawsitive Match cat! He is always dressed for formal events, and loves to help around the house. He’ll never say no to a good meal or some quality cuddles.
Willamina (Wilma), 3, was adopted from Pawsitive Match in 2023. She loves lounging in the sun, playing with bouncy balls, and watching water drip. She wants to use this platform to advocate for more wet food in the morning.
Gigi came to us shy and lacking confidence and scared of new people and situations. After lots of love, patience, and months of dog training, she has blossomed into a confident and friendly dog who easily approaches strangers for pets.

Cody and his first mud bath!- spa-hhhhh! Husky Cross pup. Full of mischief and always a good pal to his dog and cat siblings.
Maybe if you add bubbles... Karlson is is a 6 years old DSH cat who loves to sleep in his roost watching birds. He has a large and in charge energy bossing around his people and his dog roommates. He's a chatty cat who expresses himself often with 'talking', meowing, and a hiss that puts all of us into place!
Catching the breeze, Pam is a 3 year old chihuahua/papillon cross whose favorite hobbies are snuggling with her human mama and getting in the centre of the action with her big dog brothers.
Murphy was once known as Pedrocito - and he is a Pawsitive Match alumni from 2018! An independent character, Murphy captured our hearts and now rules the roost!
Abby and Leroy are Pawsitive Match kitties, and have grown into sweet, loving furballs. They're double trouble when they get the midnight zoomies, but they have brought so much joy into our home.
Pearl and her sister Rue were foster wins from Pawsitive Match! Pearl and Rue couldn’t be more opposite. Pearl is a true lady, spending hours grooming herself and her sister. Pearl’s favourite thing in life is a belly rub.
Rue is Pearl’s sister and was the runt of her litter. She’s a small, little firecracker with no fears. Her favourite things are crawling into any bag, box or item she can fit into and knocking any and everything off the counter.
Freya's favourite thing to do is lay in the grass in the sun!
Intelligent and caring! Mocha loves to play with balls and will let us know when it is feeding time as he drops his toys in his food dish! Plays tag and loves to sleep completely immersed under multiple blankets, he loves it like a sauna! Certainly is a stubborn Meezer but loves to be near his humans at night!
We adopted Quimby (white/brown-17 breed mix per DNA test!) from Pawsitive Match in 2018 and Harlow (brown Shepherd mix) from Almost Home Canine Rescue in 2020- they are best friends! Quimby is the calm to Harlow’s higher energy.
Luna is a seven-year-old Akita/Lab X from Norway House, Manitoba. She is a calm, sweet soul and loves all things outdoors whether it’s hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing or paddle boarding. She’s living her best life now in Calgary with frequent weekend trips to the mountains!
Kaia (Nicole) arrived at the shelter as a stray from Red Deer in December 2023. We adopted her in February 2024 and she quickly found her place in our home and our hearts.

Kahlua was adopted last summer and is the BUSIEST cat ever. Sweetest forever kitten around…
Chester came to live with us last year, after having his leg amputated by a team of amazing people, and we just love him! He can do the stairs 2 at a time, get to the top of his cat tree, and wrestles with his sister Kahlua (also PMRF) all the time.
Doug and Phoebe were both adopted from Pawsitive Match. They love cuddling, suntanning, going to the dog park and their favourite food is literally any food.
Catrick, a rescue, makes us laugh every day. He loves the sun, bird and squirrel watching, but most of al, he is so proud when he scares us after jumping out from a hiding spot.
Acadia is affectionate, talkative, playful, curious, and ultimately adores being in the presence of her guardians. She felt right at home from the moment she was adopted in June 2024, falling in love with watching & listening to the birds outside the window from her cozy bed.
Chewie is a year and a half old. His favourite activities include going on hikes in the mountains, boat rides on the lake, and only listening to his dad when there is a bag of treats involved.
