Cat Cuddling Program
What is the Cat Cuddling Program?
The Cat Cuddling Program allows for both cat-loving volunteers and store-foster cats to enjoy each other’s company across our partnered pet stores across Calgary and Black Diamond. The cat cuddlers are an invaluable part of maintaining socialization and enrichment for our store-fosters, which are housed in cat-condos during their stay at the stores.
Who can volunteer and what are the requirements?
Any volunteers over the age of 16 years old are welcome to sign up.
Is it free?
Yes! The Cat Cuddling Program is 100% free.
Is it all ages?
No, volunteers must be 16 years old or over. Children over 12 years old can join as a plus one only with parent supervision.

Is there any training required?
No, these kitties are behaviorally and medically cleared, therefore no training is required!

When is this program being offered and how often can I come in?
The program is offered year round during store opening hours. We request that volunteers show up no earlier than 30 minutes from store opening hours, and leave 30 minutes before the store closes.
Why should I apply for this program?
This program allows for flexibility around other obligations while still providing essential love and cuddles to our store-foster kitties. In particular, if you cannot have pets at home, this is the perfect alternative to enjoying some snuggles with our cats and kittens.
What should I keep in mind on my first day?
Cats will shed to different degrees, depending on the time of year and type of breed. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting fur on and potentially snagged by a rambunctious kitty.
