About Tuffy

Tuffy puts the “t” into terrific! Still very much a puppy, high spirited and highly energetic, he’s also supremely sweet and not only craves affection but adores everyone equally. He loves being cuddled and petted by his foster mom, cheerfully chasing her around the island in the kitchen, and often forgetting his own size and strength, jumps up excitedly and gives her not so gentle “love bites.” He also loves play fighting with his doggy foster brother, chasing and wrestling him, playing tug-o-war, rolling around in the snow, and going on multiple walks a day. (Due to his high intelligence and energy level, he may enjoy doggy training and obstacle courses and would make an ideal hiking partner). Fearless and friendly, he’s more than eager to meet the people he passes on their walks, from children and teenagers to adults, and would love to engage every other dog he sees in playtime. While he walks well on leash and does well in the car, he’s still perfecting his housetraining skills, and since he’s not fond of his crate, has free rein of the house, falling asleep on the carpeted floor in his foster mom’s bedroom at night. Now what Tuffy needs is an active home with a large, fenced yard, older children, another equally active dog, and loving adopters to patiently perfect his manners, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever.
