About Spruce

I’m Spruce and am guaranteed to make you chuckle (in between gentle kisses, playful cuddles, and resting up to repeat)! I love everyone, and always want your attention, and I’m sooo smart.  I watch what you do, learn fast, and am super motivated by treats by pleasing you! I walk like a charm, drop to roll in the snow a few tumbles, and am easy to get walking again when you call my name.  I know all my basic commands-sit, lay down, stop, up, down, shake, kisses, come, and am learning stay. I love to play fetch and learned to “drop it”, “leave it”. I learned to turn tornado”, and “crawl”, and “wait” for treats dropped. I told you I’m smart.
I am house trained, sleep beside my crate quietly all night and love eating and looking for treats in my crate-I’ll even lay down quietly and wait for you in there for awhile but not yet sure about being left in there with you out of reach…I don’t touch anything but my toys in the house, and share with my new foster brothers. I don’t always listen to the lil guy though, and am learning his boundaries quickly.
I love being will you on furniture, but will stay off if I must and am good with waiting to be invited up, after I learn the routine.
I have medium energy and can do short walks or longer ones, but need some play and brain training at home or I am not shy asking for it-even throwing a toy 4-5 times to use up some energy works great! I just love short spurts of love and attention!
