About Black Velvet

Patience and a gentle touch are the keys to winning bashful Black Velvet’s heart. Initially shy and skittish, “Wee Bee Vee” slowly opened herself up to the joys of pets and cuddles from her foster family and is learning to love the routine of a calm household. A fan of the ribbon teaser and hunting toy mice, Bee Vee routinely shows off her prowess as a hide-and-seek champion, but cannot resist popping out of the shadows to bop at her foster brother’s tail while he naps in the sunshine. Bee Vee is food-motivated and enjoys munching down on wet food and treats with a lot of gusto for a petite pretty kitty like herself. Fully litter box trained, and working on her feline manners for habits like couch-scratching, counter surfing and play biting, Wee Bee Vee would do well in a calm, patient home with older children who are willing carefully work on drawing her out of her shell. Trust us, her snuggles are SO worth it!
