About Fern
Hey there, I’m Fern, the lovable Lab cross with an infectious enthusiasm for life. I’m sweet, smart, and playful, embracing all the best qualities of a puppy. Yet, I’ve got the wise wisdom of someone who’s been around the block!
I’m six months old, and a healthy happy 35 pounds, but don’t let my age fool you. I bring a ton of love and a whole bunch of smarts to the table. I’ve already nailed the basics. Sitting? A breeze. Staying? No sweat. Paw? You betcha! Come? I’m on my way! Kennel? Dream time awaits! I’m like a mix of playful puppy and a well-behaved sidekick, giving you the best of both worlds.
I’m also the queen of playtime, and tossing a ball around in the backyard is my kind of fun. I’ve got this cool solo ball-playing thing down to an art. Toss, pounce, repeat. Even when the arctic deep freeze hits, I’m all about embracing the great outdoors. Yup, you heard it right – I don’t mind a frosty adventure. Snowflakes and chilly air? Bring it on! My enthusiasm for playtime knows no weather bounds. Now let’s talk toys. When it’s time to settle and chill, which I’m quite receptive to, I’m the queen of chew toys. Give me a squeaky purple lobster or a bacon flavored stick, and I’ll spare your shoes from any makeover attempts and be in puppy paradise for hours.
I’m also a backyard business kind of gal. I like to do ALL my business in one outdoor spot, yup, just one square metre. For now, that metre is in my human’s designated backyard space and usually when I’m off leash. Saves us time on walks, and it’s like my own little contribution to eco-friendliness. Efficiency, folks! Plus, it leaves more time for the fun stuff on our walks– like getting to know our neighbors, learning that loud noises and big things aren’t scary, and practicing my wily rabbit watching. It would be best to have a yard so I can continue this little backyard business habit of mine and keep this training party going. We’ll be the dream team in no time!
It gets even better! I’m a social butterfly too. Dogs, playdates, housemates, kids, you name it – I’m ready to make friends. I get along well with my senior, sometimes grumpy, buddy and his younger sidekick, the Aussie cross. I know when to lay low and when to come in full speed! We’re quite the diverse dynamic trio! As for cats, well, they’re still a mystery to me. Haven’t had the chance to make their acquaintance yet. Kids, on the other hand, are my absolute favorites! I love meeting them, and my playful spirit shines when little humans are around.
I’ve got all the fantastic aspects of being a lively puppy with a touch of seasoned charm!
A home filled with activity, a yard to stretch my legs, a playmate or playdate, laughter, and a small dash of chaos is my dream pad!
So, what do you say? Ready for a lifetime of belly rubs, goofy grins, and endless love?
I was born approximately July 2023 and will be a medium to large dog when fully grown up.
My adoption fee is $595.
