About Amos
Hi there! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Amos and I am a 28-pound Beagle cross from Mexico. Since I recently moved to Canada, I am still in the process of adjusting to my new home. Right now strangers are a little scary, but once I get to know you I’ll be meeting you at the door wiggling — I am full of love!
I have lots of energy and need someone who will take me outside so I can explore all the different smells! When I see other dogs on my walks I’m a little wary, but I remain calm and cool. I share the house with my dog sister, and while she didn’t really want to hangout much at first, I was very patient and now we are friends! Although I wouldn’t mind having a doggie friend in my new home, I love being the center of attention.
At home, I feel really comfortable in my crate, whether it’s for a few hours during the day or throughout the night. There’s also no need to hide your belongings from me, I prefer toys! Oh, and my housetraining is going very well! I just need a little help from a human to remind me to take regular trips outside. I am a quick learner and always eager to please.
Oh, I forgot to mention, remember when I said strangers are scary? Well, sometimes I can get a little barky when strangers come to the door, but I’m not trying to be mean! I just need a little time to build up my confidence. Hopefully you can be patient with me. On another note, I haven’t had the chance to meet any children yet, but I’m an incredibly gentle guy, so I think I would do well with them.
If you are looking for a cute and loyal little shadow, then that’s me!
My Motto? No Bad Days!
