About Mattie

Hello there! My name is Mattie, and I’m still figuring out this whole “living in a house” thing—but so far, I think I like it! There are soft beds, warm laps, and apparently, if you do your business outside, you get treats. (I know, right? Best deal ever.)

I’m a sweet and curious pup who loves being around people, though I take my time before jumping into the action. Loud noises startle me, and I sometimes prefer to sit back and observe before joining in. But once I trust you, I’m all in for cuddles—especially naptime snuggles on a warm lap. I also love playing chase in the backyard with my big dog friend. (I may be small, but I’m fast!)

I’m still learning the ropes of house training, and while I do my best to let my humans know when I need to go out, sometimes I have to use the pee pads if they’re a little slow on the uptake. I’m also getting used to crate training—jury’s still out on that one. I haven’t started leash training yet, but I’ll get there!

One of my favorite hobbies is treasure hunting. I like to search the house and yard for special little things to bring back to my bed. I’m not a chewer or a troublemaker; I just appreciate a good collection!

My ideal home? Honestly, I could fit into a lot of different situations—other dogs, kids, a big yard, or a quieter home with patient people to help me build my confidence. Mostly, I just want a family who will help me keep learning and exploring this big, exciting world at my own pace.
