About Romeo

Hi there! My name is Romeo — but my friends call me RoRo (you can too). I’m a little guy with a big heart and even bigger ears, and I’m writing to let you know… I think we might be a perfect match.

I’m a lover, not a barker. In fact, I’m a pretty quiet guy — unless I’m snoring at your feet while you work. I’m the strong, silent type who expresses his love through gentle kisses and tail wags. I’m always up for some pets, a cozy nap in the sunshine, or a good ol’ fashioned walk around the neighbourhood (fair weather only, please — this short coat wasn’t made for the cold). I’ve been told I get a lot of attention for being ridiculously handsome and a bit quirky — I say thank you with a smooch and keep strutting.

I’m a fan of frozen Kongs, head scratches, and snuggling up nearby. I love people — men, women, older kids — and I’m very polite when I meet new friends. I haven’t met many tiny humans or cats yet, but I’m curious and kind, so I might just do well with them too. I also love other dogs, and wouldn’t mind a playful canine sibling to hang out with. But if I’m your one and only, that works too — I’m very good at entertaining myself (especially if I have a sunny spot to lounge in).

I’m housetrained mostly — sometimes the door sneaks up on me and I miss my mark, but I’m trying! I sleep all through the night and can chill solo if you need to go out. I’m not one of those dramatic dogs who cries when you leave — I’ll just put myself to bed with a toy until you come back. My foster says I’m really good in the car, too, which is great because I’m definitely open to road trips!

I’m still learning that hands aren’t chew toys when I get excited, and yes… I might sneak a snack off the coffee table if you turn your back for two seconds. I like food — sue me! But I’m smart, eager to please, and very food motivated, so with a little training (and some treats), I’ll be a gentleman in no time.

My dream home? It could be a house or an apartment — I’m adaptable. I’d love a yard to play in, but it’s not a dealbreaker. What really matters is having someone who wants to hang out with me, go on walks, throw a toy, share some snacks, and love me as much as I’ll love them.

If you’re looking for a little best friend with a big heart, a charming face, and a sunshine soul, I’m your guy. I’ll be waiting — maybe in a sunny patch, or snoozing on a soft bed — until you come take me home.
