Meet Taco (aka Nacho): The Tiny Shadow with a Giant Heart!

If you’ve ever dreamed of having a devoted little sidekick who wants to follow your every step, Taco might just be your guy. This sweet, sensitive soul is equal parts shy and snuggly — he just needs a patient, loving human to help him feel safe in the big world.

We have wonderful news! Taco recently had successful dental surgery where he had 8 teeth removed. He is fully recovered and is now in his best health! His mouth is clean, pain-free, and yes, it even smells amazing! He’s back to happily enjoying treats, cuddles, and love with a brand new, healthy smile.

Taco is nervous when meeting new people and may bark or do a little “pee squirt” when he’s scared or excited (he’s trying his best!). Once he learns you’re kind, he melts into a puddle of love and transforms into a cuddly lap dog who never wants to leave your side. He’ll bounce on his hind legs when he wants to be picked up and is happiest tucked against you, watching your every move.

He gets along with other dogs and even cats — though he may chase a feline friend now and then. He’s still learning leash manners and is a bit wary of the world outside, so a fenced yard would be ideal for him.

Taco’s ideal home is calm, cozy, and full of gentle love — perhaps an older couple or quiet household where he can feel secure. He’s the kind of dog who thrives on companionship and routine, and once he trusts you, he’ll be your loyal little shadow forever.

Taco is a gentle reminder that love doesn’t always come charging through the door — sometimes it tiptoes in softly, curls up on your lap, and never leaves.

Taco was born approximately February 2021 and is a small-sized dog.
