About Hart

Ever so handsome in his speckled black and white coat, Hart is a standout in any dog crowd. Blessed with the most endearing personality, sweet, happy and well behaved with just enough goofiness to make his fosters grin, he thrives on their company and attention, loves cuddling and snuggling with them on the couch and having his belly rubbed. Moderately energetic, he currently does best on a schedule of a morning walk before breakfast, a midday walk, a late afternoon walk before dinner, and an evening walk just before bed. He also enjoys games of fetch, playing in the yard, and is excellent at entertaining himself by playing with various toys and balls, and, most of all, with his stuffed alligator. Always eager to make friends with the adults and teens he meets on his walks, he engages easily with other friendly dogs, large and small, rides well in the car, and answers to his name. Content to remain on his own with a frozen peanut butter Kong, other treats and his toys when his fosters are gone for four hours, he’s relaxed and happy when they return, is never crated and is fully housetrained. Eager to please and to learn, this most loyal and loving dog hopes to give his heart to equally loving adopters who will perfect his leash manners (he tends to lunge when he sees a squirrel or a leaf blowing past), eliminate his tendency to nip when excited, and keep him in belly rubs fur-ever.
