About Calypso

Hi there, future best friend!

My name is Calypso, and I’m here to tell you why we’re going to be the perfect match! First things first, I’m a sweet and calm pup who loves meeting new people, no matter how big or small they are. I’ve already made some great little human friends—there’s a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old who were super fun, and I’ve been hanging out with two kids who are 7 and 10. I’m gentle and playful with all of them, so I’d fit right into a family with kids!

I’ve also made a doggie friend or two, and I just love to play! When I’m around cats, I’m more interested in having some fun than anything else. So far, I haven’t shown much of a prey drive, which means I can be friends with all kinds of animals (though I’m still getting used to some things, so no promises yet!).

I’m almost all grown-up when it comes to house-training—pretty good at it, if I do say so myself! I even sleep in my crate at night like a big girl. I’m quiet most of the time, though I might bark if I want to play with the cats. As for walks, well, I’m still learning what a leash is and how it works, but I’m a quick learner, and I know I’ll be a pro in no time.

I’ve heard my humans say that I’m “loving” and “adorable” (they’re not wrong!), and I think you’ll agree when you meet me. I’m a big fan of belly rubs, fetch, and just hanging out outside. I don’t need constant attention, but I do love some quality snuggle time when the mood strikes.

My dream forever home? Somewhere with a yard where I can play and a family or individual who loves spending time outside. I think I’d do well with an active family, and even though apartment life might be a little tricky for me, I’m willing to give it a try if you are! All I need is someone who’s patient, loving, and ready to help me grow into the best dog I can be.
