Hi Future Family,
It’s me, Akari — your tiny tornado of love, wiggles, and questionable decision-making!

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m a happy, friendly little girl who thinks every human I meet is my new best friend. Kids? I love them. Grown-ups? Love them too. Strangers on walks? Absolutely must greet them. I get so excited that sometimes I try to jump right into their arms — I just can’t help myself!

I currently live with a big dog named Ohtani, and wow do I adore him. I follow him everywhere and cuddle right into him like he’s my emotional support mattress. I also think he’s a chew toy sometimes… I’m working on that. Cats? They’re interesting and fun to chase, but I’m all curiosity, no meanness.

Now… full honesty. I’m kind of a hot mess express right now — but a super cute one. I don’t like being alone, at all. If you leave me, I’ll let out my signature high-pitched “Akari scream” to remind the world I’m fragile and dramatic. I’m also not a fan of crates or car rides in crates (I get carsick). I’m still learning not to chew baseboards, carpets, shoes, furniture… you know, the usual puppy temptations. Supervision and safe chew toys help a ton.

But I’m also very smart, very cuddly, and very determined to be a good girl. With patience, treats, and a gentle routine, I learn fast. I love being petted, snuggled, carried, and loved on. Winter is fun, toys are fun, food is VERY fun.

My ideal home? Honestly, I could thrive anywhere with people who understand puppies. I need someone patient, loving, and home enough to help me build confidence. I promise that in return, I’ll be the cuddliest little shadow you’ve ever met. I’ll nap beside you, follow you everywhere, and be the happiest snuggle bug once I feel safe.
