About Badger

Hello! My name is Badger, and I’m on the lookout for a special family who can help me feel safe and loved.

I’m a bit of a shy guy and can get pretty nervous around new people and places. When I feel scared, I sometimes react by trying to protect myself, which can lead to biting. I know it’s not the best way to handle things, but I’m working on it! My foster mom has been really patient with me, and even though I’ve nipped at her a few times, we’ve built a strong bond. I’m not very big, but I’ve got a big heart when it comes to the ones I trust.

I live with four other dogs and three cats and I really like being around them and other animals! They help me feel more confident around people. I do like to chase the kitties sometimes, so I’d love a cat friend who’s used to playful dogs!

There are a few things I really love—treats, mealtime, and going for walks (I’m great on leash!). I’m also a big fan of sunbathing, playing fetch, and snuggling with my person. I can entertain myself during the day, but I do love being near my people. I’m working on my kennel training and house training.

I would be happy anywhere, really, but I think I’d thrive in a quieter household where I can be the centre of attention. I haven’t met any kids yet, but I think I’d do best in a home with older children (12+) who understand I’m a work in progress. A yard would be awesome too, especially for my house training, and I’d love someone who can help me build even more confidence.

I know I have some quirks, but with a patient and understanding family, I believe I can become the best version of myself. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who’s eager to learn and grow, I could be the dog for you!
