About Baillie

Time and patience are key to earning beautiful Baillie’s trust and ultimately her affection. Shy and hesitant in new situations and with new people, she’s ever so lovely and endearing now that she’s settled into the safety and routine of her understanding foster home. Happiest in the company of her foster mom and her faithful doggy shadow, she also enjoys the company of her two canine foster brothers and used to play regularly at a dog park, chasing balls and engaging with other friendly dogs. Fond of playing fetch and going on either one long or several short walks a day, she not only walks well on leash, she does well with the strangers she meets once she feels comfortable in their presence. A fan of both water and snow, an easygoing passenger in the car, she gets along famously with felines, is never crated, freely roams the house during the day, is fully housetrained, and either sleeps in her foster mom’s room or on a doggy bed at night. Due to the trauma of losing her original female owner and her residual anxiety resulting from a robbery in her former home, she remains fearful of having men in the house. Eager to please, to love and be loved in return, Baillie would do best sharing her golden years with a female-only household, perhaps with another easygoing dog and calm, respectful children.

Baillie was born approximately August 2012 and weighs 73 pounds.

Her adoption fee is $225
