Hi, I’m Duke… but my friends call me Duck.

Certified good boy. Professional tail wagger. Enthusiastic greeter (still working on my manners!).

I’m a young, happy pup with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. Kids? Love them. Adults? Love them. Strangers? Yep—love them too. I get so excited to say hello that I sometimes forget my feet belong on the ground, but I’m learning every day and respond really well to guidance.

I’m a social guy who does great with other dogs, both big and small. In fact, I thrive with a confident dog buddy by my side. Having another pup around helps me feel settled and confident, especially when my humans leave the house. When I’m with a canine friend, I’m totally content and relaxed at home.

I’m housetrained, leash trained, know my basic cues, and I’m very food motivated—training me is actually pretty fun. I’m not a big fan of crates (I may have… expressed my feelings about that), but I do great staying out with another dog and happily snoozing in a cozy bed.

My energy level is medium and playful. I love a casual walk with lots of sniffing, chewing on bones, playing with toys, and hanging outside when I can. I’m not wild or overwhelming—I just have that joyful young-dog sparkle.

I might bark a bit when my people leave, and I’m still getting used to car rides, but I settle quickly and improve with consistency. I’m not fearful, not reactive, and not aggressive—just a sweet boy learning the ropes of home life.

At night, I’m flexible: dog bed, bedroom, nearby room… as long as I know my people (and ideally my dog friend) are close, I’m happy.

My ideal home? One where I’m included in daily life, given love and structure, and maybe blessed with a dog sibling to show me the way. I’d do great in many environments—houses, apartments, busy homes or quieter ones—because at the end of the day, I just want to belong.
