About Emily

Once past her initial shyness, Emily is both endearing and easygoing. She gets along happily with the adults and children of assorted ages in her foster home, and although she may not be excessively cuddly, she enjoys attention and pets enormously. Relatively quiet, with a goofy and playful side, she loves playing endlessly with her toys in the backyard, romping about with the resident dog and taking one very long walk a day, walking wonderfully on leash while working on her recall with a long lead. Given her fascination with squirrels and her habit of barking at dogs she spots from a distance, she does best when meeting new dogs face to face. A calm passenger in the car, she submits to being bathed and cleaned without issue, is highly food motivated, knows her basic commands, sleeps through the night on or beside her fosters’ bed, and is fully house trained. Now all Emily needs is an active and loving home, preferably with a securely fenced yard, to continue her socialization and perfect her leash training in exchange for her own enduring loyalty and love.

Emily was born approximately February 2022 and weighs 14 pounds.
