About Galleta

Dear Future Family,

Allow me to introduce myself—I’m Galleta (though my foster mom calls me Donna, and I quite like it). I’m a sweet, soft-hearted little lady looking for my forever home, where I can be loved, cuddled, and maybe even play a little dress-up.

I may be a bit shy at first, especially with new people, but once I get to know you, I promise to be your most devoted companion. I’ve been getting along well with the eight-year-old child next door—it just took me a little time to warm up! I love snuggling, being close, and making sure you never feel lonely. If you work from home, I’ll be your most loyal co-worker, happily curled up in your lap while you type away.

I adore playing with my toys and have a signature move where I bounce with joy while tossing them in the air. It’s my way of celebrating the little things in life! And let’s talk about treats—if there’s food involved, I’m listening. Treats have helped me learn housetraining, and I rarely have accidents (except for that one time, but we won’t talk about it—my foster mom was napping, and I tried my best!).

I walk on a leash, but let’s just say… I have my own unique technique. I stop a lot to take in the world around me, and sometimes I zigzag like I’m on a little adventure. The cold weather has been a bit of a shock to my system, so I’m still adjusting to outdoor life. However, if you take me to a big open space, I’ll run with you—just not on my own quite yet. I like to know my human is close by!

I get along great with small dogs and would likely enjoy having a confident canine friend to show me the ropes. I met a big dog once and, well, let’s just say I turned into a statue and trembled a little. I’ll need some time to build up my confidence around larger dogs, but I have a feeling I’ll get there. As for cats, I mostly want to play with them (or steal their food), but I don’t have a strong prey drive.

I do get nervous when left alone, and I may bark a little at first, but I settle down over time—especially if I have a doggy buddy with me. I don’t chew things I shouldn’t, I don’t dig, and I don’t get into the trash. I’m just a gentle, loving girl who wants to be close to my humans as much as possible.

My ideal home? A quiet, patient household with a loving family who will help me continue to grow in confidence. I can absolutely see myself being a little girl’s best friend, dressing up for tea parties and getting all the cuddles I crave. I’d do best with someone who is home most of the time or has another dog to keep me company when they’re away.

I’m a kind, gentle, food-loving cuddlebug who’s ready to find my forever people. If you think we might be the perfect match, I’d love to meet you.

Love and tail wags,
Galletta
