About Gerry
Dear Future Family,
My name is Gerry, and I’m what you might call a distinguished lady of leisure. At my age, I’ve earned the right to prioritize the finer things in life—like long naps on a cozy bed and the occasional liver treat. I’m as easygoing as they come, and while I’m not one for running marathons or chasing squirrels, I’m happy to keep you company in a calm, quiet home where we can relax together.
Let me be honest—I’m not a puppy anymore, so rambunctious energy isn’t my style. I prefer calm, respectful companionship from humans and dogs alike. If you have young children, they’d need to understand that this old gal appreciates her space. I’ve been described as sweet, gentle, and wise, which I think is a pretty accurate summary of my vibe.
When it comes to communication, I’ve perfected the art of letting you know when I need something. Whether it’s a little bark, a whine, or my signature “awooo,” you’ll always know what’s on my mind. I’m house-trained, non-destructive, and perfectly content to roam freely while you’re out. I don’t need much exercise—a slow, short walk suits me just fine. Stairs can be a bit challenging for me, so a home with minimal climbing would be ideal.
Though I’m a bit reserved at first, once I feel comfortable, you’ll see my softer side. I’ve started seeking out gentle pets and might even grace your lap with my chin for a bit of affection. And don’t worry about my health—the vet says I’m in great shape for my age, though I do take some pain meds to keep my joints happy.
If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who will happily share her golden years with you, I might just be your perfect match. Let’s spend our days together, savoring the quiet joys of life.
Warmly,
Gerry
