About Gordie

Hi there! My name is Gordie, and I’m on a quest to find my forever family. Do you enjoy long walks, outdoor adventures, and spontaneous zoomies? Do you believe that life is better with a little bit of chaos, a lot of love, and a dog who thinks every day is an Olympic event in exploring? If so, I think we’ll get along just fine!

Let’s talk about my skills first—because I have plenty! I’m doing fantastic with house training (yes, even in this freezing weather—gold star for me!), and I’m already mastering leash walking. I’ve got an adventurous spirit, so I love exploring the neighborhood and riding in the car like a pro. Plus, I’m a smart cookie! I love learning new tricks, especially when treats are involved.

Now, let’s address the puppy-sized elephant in the room—I’m still working on my excitement management. Sometimes when I meet new people, I get so happy that I can’t help but jump up to say hello… and maybe give a little love nibble (oops). But don’t worry, I’m learning that humans prefer their high-fives paw-based, not tooth-based. Redirection with toys works great for me, and I’m improving every day!

When I’m not busy being a social butterfly, you’ll find me outside—because I LOVE the great outdoors. Running, chasing, playing—sign me up! I’d make an excellent hiking or camping buddy. But don’t let my energy fool you—I also love to cuddle up after a fun play session. Belly rubs? Yes, please!

My ideal home? An active family who loves adventures as much as I do! A big yard would be awesome, and another playful dog would be a bonus. I’m still young, so I’ll need a family willing to keep working on my training. I’d probably do best with older kids at first since I’m still learning not to jump and nip when I get excited. But with time and guidance, I’ll be the best pup around!
