About Grasshopper
Hi! My name is Grasshopper — but you can call me Hopper, Hops, Hop-a-long, or anything else that suits my happy little hop-around-the-house energy. I’m still a puppy, so everything is new and exciting to me… but so far, I’ve decided that life is pretty awesome.
People? Love ’em. Big ones, little ones, quiet ones, loud ones — I haven’t met a human I didn’t want to snuggle. I’m what you might call a social butterfly with four paws. I love cuddles, I love pets, I love being held, and if you’re not giving me attention, don’t worry — I’ll be patiently chilling nearby, chewing on a toy and waiting my turn.
Other dogs? Also love ’em. I live with a few now and we have the best time together. I’m playful and friendly, and I think having a canine sibling (or two!) in my forever home would be amazing. I haven’t met a cat yet, but honestly? I’m so easy-going that I’d probably just try to be friends.
I’m working on my house training and doing great so far — as long as you take me out regularly, I won’t have accidents! I’m crate-trained, too. I sleep quietly in my kennel overnight and hang out in there when my foster parents are at work. I might give a little whine at first (I mean, I am a baby), but I settle down quickly and snooze like a champ.
My energy level? Let’s call it “puppy moderate.” I have my zippy zoomie moments, sure — but I’m also really content to entertain myself with toys or curl up for a nap while the humans go about their business. I’m smart and food motivated, so I already know how to sit and lie down, and I’d love to keep learning with you!
I don’t have any fears or phobias, I’m good with handling (even my paws and ears!), and I’ve been a rock star during baths. I haven’t gone on walks yet (too young), but I’m sure I’ll be a curious and confident explorer when the time comes.
Honestly, I’m just a happy, loving, mellow little dude who’s ready to bring joy, snuggles, and a bit of silliness into your life. Whether you live in an apartment or a house, have kids or other pets, I’ll fit in beautifully — because what I really want is a home where I’m loved.
So, what do you think? Ready to be the peanut butter to my puppy treat?
Tail wags and kisses,
Grasshopper (a.k.a. Hopper)
