About Havana
Hi, I’m Havana! But my close friends (ahem… everyone) call me Panda.
I’m what you’d call the total package: beautiful, brainy, ball-obsessed, and just the right amount of quirky. I’m part border collie, which means I’ve got a thinker’s mind and an athlete’s heart—I love to go for walks, play fetch like a pro, and herd my humans gently down the stairs with my nose when I feel it’s time to move things along. You’re welcome.
I live for time outside—walks in the park, games of fetch in the yard, even a splash in the water. I’m an active girl, but when the fun is done, I settle down like a champ. I’m the kind of pup who knows how to chill—especially if there’s a soft bed or a human lap involved.
When it comes to other dogs, I do well, especially with polite canine friends. And cats? I don’t have any interest in chasing them—so feline friends are fine by me. I do bark at strangers sometimes, especially when they pop out of their cars or homes like surprise guests on a game show. But with some training (clickers help!) I’ve come a long way and keep getting better every day.
Inside the house, I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and quiet. I do have a knack for spotting unattended snacks (I am a counter surfer and a bit of a garbage adventurer), but if you keep things tidy, I keep things classy.
I’d do best in a home with a yard where I can run, chase my ball, and show off my speed. I’d love a family with older kids and maybe a dog buddy to play with. I’m learning to be more confident in new places, so calm, quiet adoption events are more my speed right now.
Oh, and one more thing: I sleep through the night like a dream. Literally. Probably about chasing tennis balls.
So, if you’re looking for a sporty, sweet, and slightly silly best friend who will make you laugh, keep you moving, and then curl up next to you when the day is done—I’m your girl.
Love,
Havana (Panda)
