Hi there! My name is Jared—though my foster family calls me Ranger, and I think it suits me. I’m here to tell you why I might just be the best new addition to your family. Let’s start with the basics: I’m a perfect medium-sized pup with a heart full of love and just enough quirks to keep life interesting.

First things first, I love people. Whether you’re young, old, or somewhere in between, I’m ready to be your best friend. My foster mom says I’m a little hyper when I first meet someone, but don’t worry—I settle down quickly and might even climb right into your lap if you’ll let me. I’m great with other dogs, too. I love to play and get a little rambunctious sometimes, but I’m respectful and know when to take a break. Oh, and cats? Big fan. I’ll even kiss them! (Just ask my foster cat sibling; we’re quite the pair.)

I’ve got a few skills under my belt already. I’m house-trained and working on crate training. The truth is, I don’t love being left in a crate when no one’s home—it makes me feel a little anxious. But give me a chance to free roam, and I’ll be a perfect angel. I just find a cozy spot to nap until you’re back. At night, I’ll sleep quietly in a crate (or your bed, or the floor—I’m all about options).

I’m a medium-energy kind of guy. I love a couple of walks each day, but if we can’t get out, a good romp in the yard works for me. I adore playing fetch and spending time outdoors. When it’s time to relax, I’m all about cuddles and giving kisses. I even have a special “talking howl” I use when I want to play—it’s guaranteed to make you smile.

There’s always room for improvement, and I’m learning every day! I’m working on leash manners (sometimes I get a little too excited) and building my confidence in the crate. I’m also ready to tackle commands with you—I’m super food-motivated and eager to learn.

My ideal home? Somewhere with a yard to play in, people who are home most of the time, and maybe another dog to keep me company. I’d love a family who enjoys a good mix of activity and relaxation—just like me!
