About Leon

Leon puts the “l” into loving! Sweet, social and snuggly, he thrives on his fosters’ attention, loves being wherever they are, and being petted, then petted some more. Still learning about personal space, he nevertheless loves everyone he meets, loves playing and cuddling with the resident dog, gaining confidence from him and understanding more about canine body cues. He also enjoys engaging with other friendly dogs, is slowly discovering what is and isn’t a toy, and likes going for walks, improving his leash skills daily while enjoying the odd sniff or two along the way. More comfortable now on car rides, he either lies down and sleeps, or sticks his head out the window, has a hearty appetite and is both crate and house trained. At work on jumping up less and nibbling to elicit attention, he may be partially blind in one eye, but that neither stifles his spirit nor slows his steps. A paws-itive work in progress, loving and lovable Leon will thrive in an equally loving home, preferably with another confident dog as both mentor and playmate, and patient adopters to perfect his manners, teach him his commands, and keep him in cuddles fur-ever.

Leon is approximately 9 months old and will be a large dog when fully grown.
