About Rex

Hello there! I’m Rex, a shepherd cross. If you’re on the lookout for a companion who adores spending time with kids, possesses a keen intellect and who loves being close to the family, then look no further. I take immense joy in snuggling up with my human pack and basking in the warmth of their company! 

I have this special affinity for kids – right now I’m hanging out with a busy toddler. You’ll find me right by their side, ever ready to lend a helping paw. There’s something incredibly rewarding about making sure that cute little face and those busy hands are free from any mess. It’s just my way of contributing to the household and being a part of the family!  I have met a few pre-teens as well and love following them around the house.  I’m all in with kids! 

I’m also a quick learner, and I’ve mastered a bunch of cool tricks. Why, you ask? Well, besides showering you with love and loyalty, I happen to be quite the food enthusiast. Treats are my weakness, and I’ll happily perform for a tasty reward. It’s a win-win situation, really.

Now, when it comes to bedtime, you’ll find me snoozing comfortably in my crate. Yep, I’m a good sleeper, and I’ve got that whole crate thing down for a good 8 hours at night. My humans are quite happy with that! Oh, and did I mention I’m ‘mostly’ house trained? Just a little reminder to keep things interesting! 

It’s been a bit too chilly for walks, but fear not! Based on my enthusiastic, friendly greetings for delivery people at the door, I’m more than ready to hit the pavement when the weather warms up and make new friends both human and furry. 

And here’s the cherry on top: I absolutely love being close to my family. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or just hanging out, I’m content to lay in my bed, soaking up the warmth of your company. I’m not just a pet; I’m a companion who thrives on the joy of being part of a loving family.

Rex was born in Dec 2023 and will be a medium to large dog when fully grown.
