About Rio

Curious, confident and courageous, Rio wins raves in his foster home. A highly sociable pup, he loves snuggling with his fosters and their 9 and 11-year-old children and is friendly towards everyone he meets, including younger children. While he tends to roughhouse when playing with his sister, he loves being outside in the yard, playing and snuggling with the resident 110-pound Dutch shepherd, sunning himself and eating, learning to accept food more gently. Travelling calmly inside his crate in the car, doing well being bathed, and sleeping in his crate with his sister at night, he hasn’t yet been walked because he hasn’t been vaccinated. At work on his puppy manners and housetraining, what Rio really needs now is a loving family, preferably with a yard, perhaps another dog, and patient adopters who will perfect his manners, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him mentally and physically satisfied fur-ever.

Rio was born approximately July 1st, 2023 and will be a medium to large dog when fully grown.
