Hi! My name is River, and I am on the lookout for my forever home—a place filled with love, adventure, and, most importantly, belly rubs!

I’m a young, playful, and affectionate pup who absolutely adores my humans. If you have hands, they will be used for petting me—I will make sure of it. I love being outside, whether it’s going on walks, playing fetch, or just lounging in the sunshine, soaking up the great outdoors. I even think snow is pretty awesome!

Now, let’s talk about my ideal home. I’d love an active family that enjoys playtime as much as I do. A backyard would be amazing (zoomies are a big part of my fitness routine), but as long as I get plenty of exercise and attention, I’ll be a happy girl. I currently live with a young child, and while I needed a little time to warm up, I’ve done well. However, because I can get a bit excited and mouthy during playtime, any younger kiddos should have some dog experience (or be okay with the occasional puppy nibble).

I’m a smart cookie and have already learned a bunch of commands like sit, down, shake a paw, and come. I’m doing great with house training, though I do spend a lot of time outside, which helps. At night, I sleep in my crate, but during the day, I prefer comfier options—like the couch, a rug, or even the deck if the weather is nice.

I am still learning how to be polite on a leash and working on greeting other dogs without barking (I just get so excited!). But with treats and some encouragement, I’m improving every day. Speaking of treats, I love them, but I’m also more of a snacker than a big-meal kind of girl.

Like any fun-loving pup, I have my quirks. I’m still learning the difference between my toys and, well… everything else in the house (your shoes look very interesting). I also have a bit of a feud with the mirror—there’s another dog in there, and I don’t trust her one bit. But my foster family is helping me navigate these little things, and I’m eager to learn!
