Hi, I’m Scooter, and I think I might be the goodest boy you’ll ever meet. No, seriously—ask anyone. I’m polite, quiet, and an absolute dream on a leash. I love people (like, all people) and wouldn’t mind having a few human siblings, as long as they understand I’m a bit bigger than I realize. If you’re looking for a best friend who will always be excited to see you, I’m your guy.

I’m a mellow dude at home, happy to lounge around, but take me for a nice long walk, and I’ll be your adventure buddy. I like to stop and sniff the flowers, say a quick hello to other dogs, and maybe even give a little chase to a squirrel or two (don’t worry, they’re too fast for me).

I’ve been told I have some quirks—loud noises aren’t my favorite, and I’m still working on getting comfortable around cars and garage doors. But give me a reassuring pat, and I’ll stick by your side. I might whine a little when you leave, but I promise I’ll just curl up and wait for you like the good boy I am.

My ideal home? I’d love a yard, but I’ve been perfectly happy in an apartment, too—as long as I get my walks. I’m great with people, and while I haven’t met any cats yet, I don’t think I’d mind them much. I’m learning my basic commands (I’ve got “sit” and “paw” down, and we’re working on “back up”—whatever that means).

At the end of the day, I just want a family who will love me as much as I love them. So, what do you say? Think we’re a match?
