About Zinc
Hi, I’m Zinc – a handsome, gentle guy with a heart as big as my 65 pounds. My foster family says I’m the full package: sweet with kids, friendly with strangers, and always ready to lean in for a bum scratch. I love people so much that “personal space” isn’t really in my vocabulary – if there’s a cuddle happening, I want to be part of it.
I’m housetrained, crate-trained, and a quick learner. In fact, I learned “shake a paw” in just three treats! I’m still mastering some house rules – like not sneaking slippers or counter surfing – but I’m smart, food-motivated, and eager to please, so I’m catching on fast.
When it comes to other animals, I’m a friendly and submissive boy. I’ve met big and small dogs and get along with them all. Cats? I’m curious and playful but respectful – if they hiss, I politely back off. I ignore barking dogs behind fences, and on walks, I’m calm and happy to greet people and pups alike.
I’ve got a medium energy level, which means I enjoy daily walks, sniffing adventures, and the occasional burst of zoomies if a squirrel dares to cross my path. After that? I’m more than happy to flop down beside you for cuddles. I’m quiet too – no barking unless I’m being silly with another dog.
My dream home would be one with people around more often than not, maybe a yard for lounging and sniffing, and definitely a family who loves snuggles as much as I do. I’d fit in with kids, adults, or other dogs – I’m just a happy, adaptable boy who wants to belong.
If you’re looking for a loyal, lovable, easygoing companion who will follow you anywhere (and nap beside you after), then I’m your guy.
Love,
Zink
